Trust and Safety Policy

LAST UPDATED: JANUARY 14, 2026

0. Current status

Today, Hireeo verifies the email address of each account and moderates content published on the platform. Reviews go through a moderation flow (PENDING → ACTIVE status) before being published. Hireeo does not perform government identity verification, criminal background checks, or validation of trade licenses with official bodies. Reports of content or behavior are received at legal@hireeo.app, and Hireeo is adding visible report links to profiles, services, and reviews.

1. Reporting content or behavior

To report content or behavior that violates our policies, email legal@hireeo.app describing what happened, the profile, service, or review involved, and any available evidence. Hireeo confirms receipt of your report. We are adding a visible report link to every profile, service, and review; in the meantime, email is the official channel.

1.1. Handling a report

When a report is received, Hireeo should:

  • Send the reporter a confirmation of receipt.
  • Assess whether the content falls under the Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Where appropriate, remove or restrict the content and communicate the reason in writing to the person who posted it; for the EU, this reflects the requirement in Article 17 of the DSA.
  • Record the decision, including who decided, when, the reason, and the evidence, to demonstrate diligence in response to a consumer claim or authority inquiry.

2. Response times

Hireeo confirms receipt of a report within 3 business days and communicates an initial decision within 10 business days. When a case requires further analysis, we will keep you informed of its progress.

3. Appeals

Anyone receiving an adverse moderation decision may request an in-platform review before escalating to an authority or court; this mechanism aligns with Article 20 of the DSA for the EU and is a good practice elsewhere.

3.1. Appeals channel and owner

If you disagree with a moderation decision, you may appeal it by emailing legal@hireeo.app within 30 days of being notified of the decision, stating the reasons for your appeal. Hireeo’s Trust and Safety team reviews the appeal and responds within a reasonable time.

4. Trusted flaggers (EU only if applicable)

Article 22 of the DSA applies to any provider regardless of size. If a recognized trusted flagger reports content, Hireeo must prioritize its review.

5. What we report to authorities

  • Child sexual exploitation material (CSAM): in the United States, there is a legal obligation to report to NCMEC; in the other launch jurisdictions, the duty is general cooperation with authorities and not proactive mandatory reporting as of this draft.
  • Manifestly illegal content reported by a competent authority, under each country’s applicable regime.

6.1. Reporting channel before publication

Businesses and professionals may report content or behavior that affects them by emailing legal@hireeo.app, with the same information and the same handling described for any user.

6.2. Operable response deadline

Hireeo confirms receipt of the report within 3 business days and communicates an initial decision within 10 business days.

6.3. Internal moderation and appeals owner

Content moderation and appeals are handled by Hireeo’s Trust and Safety team, which documents each decision: who decided, when, the reason, and the evidence considered.

7. Local legal review

The text of this policy is reviewed by local counsel regarding the EU DSA requirements and general content-removal duties in Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay, to ensure it fits each jurisdiction.

8. Personal data rights

You may exercise access, correction, deletion, and other rights recognized by applicable law by emailing legal@hireeo.app. Response deadlines vary by state, including under the California CCPA/CPRA and other state privacy laws; there is no single federal authority.

9. Cooling-off or withdrawal rights when applicable (B2C)

There is no general federal cooling-off right for these transactions. State-specific rules or rules for particular transactions may apply, and mandatory applicable law will govern.

10. Dispute resolution

This policy is governed by applicable United States law. Any dispute will be resolved through binding individual arbitration under the Federal Arbitration Act (FAA), and you waive any right to participate in a class action, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
