Reviews and Rankings, Advertising and Sponsorship Policy

LAST UPDATED: JANUARY 14, 2026

1. Review rules

  • Reviews must correspond to a real hiring experience on the platform.
  • Publishing, requesting, or incentivizing fake reviews, or suppressing legitimate negative reviews, is prohibited. This obligation is linked to the FTC Rule on Consumer Reviews (16 CFR Part 465) and is adopted as a global best-practice standard.
  • A service owner may not review their own service.
  • Every review passes through a moderation status (Rating.status: PENDING → ACTIVE) before publication.

1.1. Review moderation

Every review goes through a moderation process before becoming public:

  • Reviews are collected collectively and enter a PENDING status when submitted.
  • A platform SuperAdmin reviews each review and approves it (ACTIVE) or rejects it before it becomes visible.
  • A profile or service owner may not review their own service.
  • You can report reviews you believe are fraudulent or manipulated by writing to legal@hireeo.app; the moderation team will review them.

2. Ranking transparency

When the order in which Providers are displayed is influenced by payment, featuring, or sponsorship, including Service.featured, level, or Sponsor, Hireeo must visibly identify it as featured or sponsored content. This transparency obligation is confirmed for the EU under DSA Articles 26 and 27 and P2B, and for the United States under FTC Act §5; it is adopted here as a global standard.

3. Advertising and sponsorship

When sponsored content exists:

  • All sponsored content must be clearly labeled “Sponsored” or “Featured”.
  • The label must be visible to users and distinguish sponsored content from organic results.

3.1. Sponsored-results program

Hireeo does not currently offer a sponsored-results or affiliate program. If this feature is enabled in the future, any sponsored result will be clearly identified as “Sponsored” or “Featured”, and this policy will be updated before its launch.

4. Personalized pricing

Hireeo does not apply personalized pricing based on user profiling. Plan and featured-listing prices are the same for all users within the same country. If personalized pricing were implemented in the future, it will be disclosed to consumers under the applicable price-transparency rules.

5.1. Fake-review detection

To protect the integrity of reviews:

  • Every review is moderated before publication; reviews reported as fraudulent are reviewed manually by the moderation team.
  • Buying, incentivizing, or fabricating fake reviews is prohibited, in line with the FTC Rule on Consumer Reviews (16 CFR Part 465).
  • A Provider or user with 3 confirmed review-manipulation incidents within a 12-month period may have their account permanently suspended.
  • You can report fraudulent or manipulated reviews by writing to legal@hireeo.app.

5.2. Sponsorship and pricing activation

As of today, Hireeo has no active sponsored results or personalized pricing. If either feature is enabled, the transparency obligations in sections 3 and 4 will apply, and the changes will be communicated through this policy before they take effect.

6. Local legal review

This policy applies globally, but consumer-protection and data rights may vary by state. The conditions specific to your jurisdiction are detailed in this localized version of the policy; where they conflict, the mandatory law applicable in your jurisdiction prevails.

7. Personal data rights

You may exercise access, correction, deletion, and other rights recognized by applicable law by writing to legal@hireeo.app. Response deadlines and the competent authority depend on your state; for example, California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA. There is no single federal data-protection authority.

8. Cooling-off or withdrawal rights when applicable (B2C)

There is no general federal cooling-off right for these transactions. State-specific rules or rules for particular transactions may apply, and mandatory applicable law will govern.

9. Dispute resolution

This policy is governed by applicable United States law. Any dispute will be resolved through binding individual arbitration under the Federal Arbitration Act (FAA), and you waive any right to participate in a class action, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
